I'll certainly bring the fly sheet if we have enough room in the car

It's slightly shorter than the last one, so I'm not sure. Unless you can get the bigger poles made into two somewhere?

[edit] Or forget the side poles - that might be easier.

Or cut fresh poles on site? Or use the trees as a support? Depends on your tarp I guess.
Anyway, tactically you will be wanting to keep the profile nice and low.

'tactically', nice sounding word.

I assume it translates as 'talking on telephones in a big old coat'?

And if not, why not? :giggle:

,I'll be going for the full kit challenge as usual! Anyone else Mann enough for it? :giggle:

Now thats throwing down the gauntlet

I have duplicated the call to arms on the Alte Hasen section :good:
It will be good for the 26VGD to have their own camp, will be bringing my zelt
Greatcoat look will be most apropiate I think, with torque and gloves. Improvised winter camo should the weather be harsh :happyswing:

Probably going will wait closer to the time, Will have to bring the Oakleaf Zelt.
Now this is Full kit :D-- attachment is not available --

not quite what you had in mind HK but chances are Owen and I will be fielding a pair of panzerfausts (when I've sorted out a less rubbish trigger mech) for this event

indeed, equip all your men with anti armour weapons. I promise we almost possibly definitely maybe field a tank for them to be fired at. :giggle:

Being on the Brits side for Corridor, the nasty suprises just kept on comming. I'll add a Zelt to my to buy list, and I have my eyes firmly on a greatcoat. Sadly the first month of my new job is clashing with Salerno so I won't have my kit up to my desired spec by then. But come November all will be well :D

May have some other projects completed in time for this as well...

OK, some very quick 'n dirty pics...

See I'm wearing my jumper. I have finally solved the problem of lack of storage space for food, BBs, gas, etc, by incorporating a Pionier pouch - Pionier is my preferred kit.

And this is the back - the 1944 rucksack. It can hold loads of kit, in fact too much for a day's airsofting. Here, it has my 4-Zelt tent and a sleeping bag, with the obligatory gasmask tin.

Brrr!!! It's cold!!! Actually, sweating my nuts off in July, even given our crap weather. Greatcoat order!

And just taking it easy with the A-frame.

I was also going to show belt kit over Zeltbahn-as-camo-smock, but I took pity on the cameraman (my son).

A lo------------------ong time ago!

FYI, the 1944 rucksack has D-rings on the top as well, so I think the ultimate iron-man loadout would be wools, greatcoat, Zeltbahn over the top, full belt order, with fully-laden 1944 rucksack, AND A-frame attached to the rucksack, including the folded blanket. :giggle:

But where do you put the kitchen sink? Good luck with it Andy, I think a slightly reduced loadout will be more suitable to my advancing years. But will make sure Martin doesnt feel lonely so shall wear that cursed E tool :good:

Like this?

(I painted one of these back in the 80s for my then girlfriend... It's one of the few miniatures I miss having as it's one of only a handful I've ever parted with)

Heh, I never said I was actually going to wear it - just what could be done, for those so inclined!

I shall most likely be wearing the same as in pic 1, but without the 44 rucksack. I might wear an A-frame - they're not that heavy.

True true. Though reading through Fritz info, it seems ammo won't be a set 600 per life. Unless im reading this wrong, its the Rear echelon's discretion to issue more ammo.

im reading the ammo limits as 600 per life. if you are at the backing asking you c/o to load up on the ammo (who isnt really going to say no) then you're probably dead.
